Looking East includes the work of eleven contemporary artists from America, China, Japan and Korea: Koji Hatakeyama, Kazue Honma, Kyoko Ibe, Kyomi Iwata, Jun Kaneko, Yasuhiro Kohara, Jae Won Lee, Hideaki Miyamura, Sakiyama Takayuki, Marie Woo, and Soonran Youn. Each artist brings a contemporary voice to the traditions of basketry, ceramics, handmade paper, fiber art, or metalsmithing. All of the work in this exhibition (with the exception of one artwork) is from the collection of Dr. Myron and Joyce LaBan.
