Mining the history of metalsmithing as well as honoring its craft, Mimlitsch-Gray welded together a collection of Coppercraft Guild collectibles that were cut to form one continuous line, 80 inches long. Each object was capped with copper so that the former and distinctly shaped cut openings form a "mantel" that is as much about presence as absence.
